PICO × Intel Joint Experience Store, Beijing
Project Background
PICO and Intel built a co-branded pop-up tech experience space in a Beijing shopping mall, requiring custom-shaped LED displays around the store's column zone: a large-curvature cylindrical flexible LED screen and a circular custom-cut LED screen — two non-standard structures creating an immersive space-exploration themed brand showcase.
Solution
Challenges: the cylinder curvature had to be pre-formed strictly to on-site measurements, with consistent bending across every module; the circular screen required dedicated die-cutting and arc edge sealing; the column's limited load capacity demanded a lightweight steel frame fitting its inner cavity exactly; and both screens had to be highly uniform in color temperature, brightness and gamut. LEGIAN's solution: precise on-site measurement and 3D modeling to drive module splitting, bending and cutting data; highly flexible indoor fine-pitch modules pre-bent at the factory with 48-hour high-temperature aging tests; CNC cutting and integrated arc edge sealing for the circular screen; synchronized production of lightweight embedded frames and hidden cable channels; factory pre-commissioning of both screens with distortion and color calibration; and concealed installation during the mall's night window, followed by final on-site calibration and acceptance.
Results
The project broke through the limits of standard screen production, delivering mass-customized curved cylindrical plus circular dual-shaped LED displays. The finished screens embed perfectly into the space-exploration themed column with no exposed frames or cabling, playing in smooth sync with unified color — meeting PICO × Intel's immersive tech showcase requirements while complying with the mall's strict construction rules, a benchmark for one-stop custom-shaped LED production in commercial spaces.
